Parish Registration is necessary before registering for Religious Education Classes.

             CCD is automatically cancelled, including Home School testing

Please Note:
     
Monday, February 20, 2012  —  Presidents’ Day — No Classes

      Wednesday – February 22, 2012 — Ash Wednesday
          4:45 – 6:00 Classes –
Will Attend the 5:00 Ash Wednesday Service in the Church
          7:00 – 8:15 Classes - Prayer Service and Ash distribution during class

 In addition to classes for 1st through 8th Grade, the Office of Religious Education is responsible for sacrament preparation of all parish children:

  • First Reconciliation: During the Lenten Season
  •          (February 29, 2012 or March 1, 2012 at 7 PM)
  • First Eucharist: First Communion Masses on Saturdays in May
  •          (May 5, 2012 at 11 AM or 1:30 PM and May 12, 2012 at 11 AM)
  • Confirmation: Fall of 9th grade. 

Religious Education Classes for Grades 1 – 8: (Mid-September – Early April) Registration begins in April. This program follows the guidelines of the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

Sessions for Grades 1-8:
Monday:                  4:45 – 6:00 p.m.         (Grades 1-8)
Wednesday:           4:45 – 6:00 p.m.         (Grades 1-4 ONLY)
Wednesday:           7:00 – 8:15 p.m.         (Grades 1-8)
Thursday:               4:00 – 6:00 p.m.         (Homeschool)
Thursday:               7:00 – 8:15 p.m.          (Grades 1-8)

HOME SCHOOL is also available for (Grades 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7) Registration is      required.                    
                 Testing Dates:           Unit 1                      November 10, 2011
                                                              Unit 2                       December 8, 2011
                                                              Unit 3                       March 8, 2012
                                                              Unit 4                       April 12, 2012

VOLUNTEERS  are NEEDED. We have approximately 1,000 children in our Religious Education Program with over 100 volunteers.  All volunteers 18 years of age and older must complete the required Diocesan forms and Safe Environment requirements.  Please call the Religious Education office for more information.
