Our Catholic teachings are pro-life. We are called to respect the dignity of human life from natural conception to natural death. Our concern with life encompasses not only the unborn but also the dying. What does the Church teach about end of life issues? This series will present teachings of the Catholic Church that will guide you in order to help you make wise decisions concerning topics such as euthanasia, life support, artificial nutrition, and hydration.

The Bible and the Mass:
6 weeks • 7:30-9:00 PM • $25.00
Mondays: Feb. 27, Mar. 5, Mar. 12, Mar. 19, Mar. 26 & Apr. 2
Presenters: Fr. Dan Langa and Ximena DeBroeck
This study is part of the Journey through Scripture Series which is published by the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. The Bible and the Mass explores what the Bible teaches us about the Mass. It looks at the ultimate meaning of the Eucharistic sacrifice and how what happens at Mass relates to God’s covenant dealings with Israel. Through the Liturgy of the Eucharist we offer ourselves back to God. Starting with the Old Testament, a Bible and the Mass traces the lineage of sacrificial ritual to where Christ transforms ritual worship in the sacrifice of the New Covenant. You will see that what we do on earth is a participation in the liturgy of heaven. You will also see that in the Mass the Kingdom of God is made present. The study concludes by focusing on one of the deepest meanings of the Mass – the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. All sessions will meet in the LeGras Hall
